When everything starts to feel like too much
Sometimes life can start to feel overwhelming in a way that’s hard to explain. Things you used to manage with ease may now feel heavier, more draining, or simply like too much.

This isn’t a sign that you’re failing or not coping well enough. It’s often what happens when your nervous system has been under ongoing strain - your system has less internal space, so everyday demands start to feel bigger and harder to carry.

When this happens, even small tasks or decisions can feel exhausting.

You might notice:
• feeling emotionally flooded
• becoming stressed more easily
• feeling like you’re constantly trying to keep up just to get through the day

This can feel frustrating and confusing - especially when nothing has really changed externally. Counselling can help you gently make sense of these responses and begin to support your nervous system in building capacity again. This might include learning how to notice early signs of overwhelm, finding small ways to pause, and slowly creating more internal steadiness over time.

Healing isn’t about pushing through or forcing yourself to cope better. It’s about gradually creating enough internal safety so that life feels more manageable again - one small step at a time.
